We are saving the money for a move to Fort Shafter. It is only 30 mins away but with this traffic it takes Tony sometimes an hour and a half to get home. If he works late the girls are already in bed by the time he gets home. So no desert sun for us this time.... But my cousin Cindy is coming here to keep us company. :-) Yay! These people either don't have children, or do and have other people raise them, or they just simply don't do anything with their kids or their homes. They must not cook, clean, and take care of their kids. And say they do actually do these things, they must be doing the bare minimum, cause I do not have the time to spend on myspace, or facebook, or twitter, or any of those things, and trust me, I've tried. And note the ones that say it... is their life balanced? I have great kids, a loving, amazing, supportive husband, and great friends. My life is balanced. So before you decided what work is.... take a good look at your life. My work pays more than money ever will. Don't de-value my work cause you suck at it.

I'm So Spoiled!!

So I've been missing some of my friends back in Washington. And no one can seem to make the trip out here to visit me. The economy, school, work. I understand. So... my friends and I were talking and we came up with an idea. What if I came to them? Hmm.... So we figured out a weekend in July and checked out ticket prices. Just had to ask Tony..... He said YES! (honestly didn't see him saying no) OMGosh! I haven't seen them in over year. One friend in particular, her husband is deployed again and I know she could use a visit from an old friend. Cypris will be joining me (want them to meet her). Ay and Tony will stay home. How sweet is he? An amazing man. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Note to Bobbi: As much as I would love to make this visit to you, my best friend. It would take the whole weekend just to get to you. Ay was playing in the house and after numerous warnings not to run in the house, she decided to spin instead, but not in front of me... oh no, she had decided to stay just out of eyesight while I was busy feeding Cy. Then it happens, a thud and tears. I ask what happened as I quickly put Cy in her walker. I get into the kitchen and her hand is covered in blood, at this point I haven't looked at any other part of her body. So, I clean her hand off and its fine so I look at her and notice its her chin. (Now for those of you who know my husband, he has that scar on his chin, he got it around the same age as Ay because he was running in the house.) At this point Ay is not crying at all in fact you would think nothing happened. Until I say its gonna need stitches, then the water works start. My goodness! Tony and I take her to the Acute Care Clinic, and you know how they ask you why your there at the front desk, well one look at Ayla and they didn't ask. We got a room and they said they were gonna glue it, no stitches. Yay Ayla! So shes all ready for it, but there is tissue hanging out of the wound that wont go back in, so they are going to have to stitch it. Poor Ayla. Now at this point it gets funny, you should of seen all these grown men trying to avoid our room. They would stop just outside the door look at Ayla and walk away. Cutest thing ever. Finally we get two that wont run away. Here comes the worst part, the shot. Miss Ay is already crying hysterically, but after the promise of two Popsicles from the docs, and McDonald's from us plus ice cream, we had a deal. She did such a good job. 5 stitches, two Popsicles, some McDonald's, and ice cream later, we were home. :-)

Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans-

-John Lennon said that, sang it. We have used it once to speak with Travis and Kate. :-( Other than that our families don't use computers. They don't know how to use computers well enough to use a web cam. So in all reality we got it to "see" Travis and Kate and so they could "see" the girls and us. I mean babies grow so fast and they were there to see Ayla through her first year but they are missing everything with Cypris.

Well anyways, it had just been collecting dust until my BFF got one too. We get to "see" each other everyday now! Yay! I consider it such a blessing. I get to see how big her babies are getting to be. Its so awesome. It makes it seem like she is not that far away. I'm also sad that Travis and Kate can't seem to find time for it. I know they are busy. We all are. You tend to make time for things you really want though. I can't believe we've been married 7 years! (and that in Aug we been together for 10) Or that I'm finally 25, no more extra fees when renting a car!! I feel so very blessed, God has been so good to me and my little family. Look at how far we have come. As a couple, as individuals, as parents, as Christians. Wow, is all I can say. I look at people my age and older and they are still trying to figure out their calling and trying to make their relationships work. Most of them, unhappy. How could I deserve such a blessing? I'm nothing special. I'm no better. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Father God. I hope I can make You proud. It is still very hard for me to understand that I am loved and have done nothing to earn it. I am, because He is. God is good, all the time. I hadn't realized just how much he helps me around here. I mean yeah I thank him and everything. But with him gone, I see it, I feel it, I have to do everything. He's such a huge help me. He takes out the trash, and puts Ayla to bed. He will take care of Cy when I'm busy cooking, or cleaning. He helps with the dishes. He's the best! I miss reading with him at night, and listening to him tell me what he thinks about this, or that. I miss our morning cup of coffee, and sitting outside watching the kids play.

Oh! And when he left he did the cutest thing... He gave me clues... Throughout the house he had put pieces of paper with little riddles to lead to to the next one and then when I put them together it spelled out where my little gift was. How sweet is that?! I'm so blessed. We are so blessed. Faith without works is dead and believe me we've worked for this marriage. :-) He's my best friend. I love you Ishaba.

Me encanta mi vida loca!

Its been so busy lately. I'm lovin it. So much going on, so much to tell... so much not to tell...

I'll start with me... I'm doing great! The other day Tony took us to this restaurant that overlooks the ocean. We got to watch the sunset, it was beautiful and the stars were breathtaking. Happy Kristy!

Tony is doing well. He's happy but I think this whole desk job thing is really starting to get to him. This may sound funny... but the man needs more stress! He just can't handle sitting at a desk all day. He needs to work, get his hands dirty. I think he can handle a few more months. Once his year at this job is up, he can ask for a transfer to another unit here. Pray he gets it, please.

Ayla is really getting the hang of this homeschooling thing. I think with public school she saw it as a place to play. So now that she's actually doing work, she's understanding things alot faster than I had expected.

Cypris my little Miss Pris. I think she may have blonde hair!! OMGosh!!! So I have Miss Ay who has beautiful brown eyes and hair and tan skin and I have Miss Pris who has blue eyes, blonde hair and fair skin. How cute is that?!! One for Tony and one for me. = )

Okay now for the parts of my life that makes it crazy:

My Mommy just found out that her brother has cancer in his lungs. Doctors are giving him less than a year to live. She is not handling the news very well. She has been put on medication to help with the anxiety. My Dad just took a job that will keep him out of town for around 6 months. I don't think my Mom should be alone right now. I'm worried about her. Please Pray for my Mommy.

My cousin is taking care of her two siblings and is about to break from the stress of it all. She was only suppose to have them for Christmas and now its nearly March. She can't seem to get ahold of her Mother. (She's not taking her calls.) I've tried helping with the situation by having people I know go to her Mom's house but she's never there. My cousin is a strong girl, but I'm afraid that the pressure may lead her to deal with the stress in ways that are unhealthy. Pray for my cousin please.

And Finally, I have this friend, she's a great person. To know her is to love her. She has gotten herself into a situation that I don't agree with. Now that she knows I don't agree with it, she wont talk to me about it. Which leads me to think she has no intentions of "making things right". I know she must be enjoying herself, it must be exciting to have such a secret. Its takes some serious evil to laugh behind the back of people you consider friends and hurt them in that way. I know she knows its wrong, what I don't understand is why she is still doing it? We all fall, but you have to get back up. YOU just have to. Think girl, do you even pray anymore? I know you've been thru alot and the devil will use that as an excuse. When you get confused, remember how we said I guess we'll just read the letters in red? Remember that? Read the letters in red. Pray, be made whole, and go and sin no more. Start over if you want to. But not like this. God didn't put that together... it wont work. I love my friend and I'm sad that this is happening to her and I can't be there to support her. Just because I say something you don't wanna hear doesn't mean you can't talk to me. That's what friends are for. If it was me, I hope you would do the same. That's real love. I want you to be happy here and now, but I also care about seeing you happy and in Heaven. When I said to not be afraid to take chances or to look stupid. I meant... Don't be afraid of change and to make changes. To start over, to take that chance. Pray for my friend. Please.

We All Fall Down...

Its those of us who get back up that make it to the finish line.

As I've begun homeschooling Ay, I've included scripture in our daily lessons, for example: Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work is pure, and whether it be right. Proverbs 20:11, and Lie not to one another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds. Colossians 3:9. You know the usual, do the right thing, it may not be easy, but God will be with you (Joshua 1:5). Listen to your Mom and Dad. Believe in yourself, be happy cause God made you this way, there is no other YOU out there. Things of that nature, and of course, I put it into terms she can understand. In this process, I've been amazed to see how much I'm learning from it. Its awesome. It comes back to that.. with faith like a child... thing for me. I have also noticed I use these lessons on adults in my life too. Its just so cool to me to see how God can take something you intended to be small (for one person) and its becomes so much more. As I'm reminded its not about me.. the hammer, not the hand. God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good.

You know we all do fall, no one is perfect, no not one. We all have yet to obtain, but it doesn't give you the right to do wrong, when you know its wrong. There is no explanation, no excuse. Here, I'll make it simple.. What Would Jesus Do? What would He say? Could you even look at your Saviour, as He watches you, drive a nail into His hand? I teach Ay never to give up, its always worth the fight, to do the right.

Just some food for thought...

Spiderman's Autography

Its been a fun busy week! Well Its official, I am home-schooling Ayla. Concerning the title: Many thanks to my big brother and sister, Travis and Kate, totally cool gift for us! Framed and hanging in Tony's office. (I want him to put it up at work, but we'll see.) Well lets see where to begin.... Okay so whats new in my life? Besides the home-schooling thing not much, recent back pain hasn't been fun. I had back pain after having Ayla but this new pain after having Cypris is concerning. It gets so bad at times I just want to spew. I have pain pills, but with breastfeeding, I don't like taking anything other than tylenol. Oh! I'm losing my hair!?! I went to the doctor yesterday and she said that sometimes it happens to women after giving birth while their bodies get back to normal. Not cool. Its not like I have chunks of hair coming out, no bald spots (Thank God!), I just seem to be shedding ten times more than normal. Well, just wanted to give ya'll a quick update. Love you much! This year in school has proven to be difficult for her, I assume its the amount of students in the class, and the amount of time they spend in school a day. From what I have seen that its a lot of worksheets at the desk, sit still, kind of stuff and Ay is much more hands on. Well during this time (she is still on break right now) she not only covered everything her teacher said she was having problems with, she's passed it. By passing she is by no means ahead now... she is still behind. The curriculum here is about two years behind the mainland. So I figured if I can cover that much in that short amount of time, if I home school she wont be behind when we go back to the mainland. So here goes nothing. I'm reading every bit of info I can find. Many of the women in my church home school so I'm going to ask around as well. I'm excited and nervous. This is my daughters education we're talking about!! Anyways, wish me luck!

New Year

The new year has begun, and with it I have made a change or two. I had plan to do these things for a while and what better way to kick off the new year.

First, I got rid of my myspace and decided to start this blog. Myspace was far too time consuming and most of everyone I really wanted to talk to via myspace had stopped using it.

Second, I've been putting more of myself into my photography, and its actual something I really am good at. (Its not just one of those things your family and friends say your good at. And when your not looking they raise their eyebrows at one another.) So yes, it took me a while to believe not only them but believe in myself. Last year for Mothers Day, Tony and Ayla got me a beautiful camera and over time I have collected not only a few good pics, but some lovely toys for my camera. And to make my life even better, for Christmas I got the Painter X program with a Wacom board. OMGosh!! Photography and paint create some of the most beautiful artwork in the media market today. Totally excited to get to work with it. But my husband being an artist himself has been hogging it. :-) No worries he goes back to work on Monday.

Third, ties into the second: I am making a website for my art.

So this looks to be an exciting new year for me. I have a wonderful family, Tony has not been deployed in over a year now, Ayla is 5 and Cypris will be 4 months on the 10th. I am so wonderfully blessed. God has given me so much. I can never thank Him enough. God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good. :-)
